DESCRIPTION
The very scarce first edition of this novel.
Illustrated with a frontispiece and three further plates by Percy Tarrant. Collated, complete.
Published between 1921 and 1927, Oxenham published five books in her Swiss Set series of novels, set at the St Johns & St Marys Schools complex.
This is the fourth book in that series, and follows Tazy after she has left school, where she was Head Girl. Since leaving, she has become an irresponsible young lady, and must learn to care for others.
With the former owners inscription of F. Coast, dated 1951, to the front free endpaper.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with small loss of cloth to spine tail, and lightly frayed closed tears to back strip head and tail. Light spotting to fore edge of text block. Front hinge strained, and a touch tender. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright.
