This is gorgeous blue glass and not glass that has been painted blue. This not genuine sea glass, yet simply gorgeous for that special woman or for that Special you!

I sell genuine sea glass as well as hand tumbled sea glass. Each man made glass necklace has been broken from larger glass item like liquor bottles, vases, bowls, mason jars pitchers, or drinking glasses. When the glass breaks there is no controlling the way it breaks. Most broken glass will have a ding, chip or imperfection on it due to the process required to make it and when possible is place on the backside of the pendent. Next, the glass is then tumbled in rock grit and ocean water to get the rough scratchy and frothy appearance of real sea glass, as well as smoothing out the edges. Some glass pendants will be really frothy and some less frothy. If, you like the frothy look all you do is just wipe the glass (not drench it) with a dab of rubbing alcohol and the dry frothy look will appear. If you like a more refined and shiny look you just dab it (pin head size) with a bit of olive or mineral oil and rub it in. If you want it frothy again, wipe with rubbing alcohol. You can wear it both ways. The silver plated bail is held on by and industrial strength adhesive; thus the pendent bail is not water resistan
